REGULATIONS GOVERNING USE OF THE AUDITORIUM
& ITS FACILITIES

1. Subject to the approval of the Board of Governors and under their authority, the Auditorium may be used by responsible groups or individuals for cultural, civic or educational purposes.

2. Applications shall be made to the office. Such application must state facilities required, hours to be used, activity or program.

3. Smoking is not permitted in the Auditorium. Games of chance, lotteries, or gambling in any form shall not be permitted on the premises. It is expected that participants in any activity will conduct themselves in a responsible and acceptable manner.

4. The Auditorium is not available to organizations, etc. charging admission at the door.

5. The individual, group or organization using the Auditorium shall compensate the Institute for all loss or damage to the Auditorium or to its equipment or facilities. The Auditorium and kitchen area shall be left clean.

6. The Auditorium when in use, shall remain under the general authority of the Chief Librarian or an authorized substitute.

7. All properties or effects used by the organization and not belonging to this Institute must be removed from the building not later than the day following the reservation.

8. When the Auditorium is in use, the lessee shall assume all responsibility with respect to any claim made for loss or damage to any article.

9. The total number of admissions to any one performance shall not exceed the regular seating capacity of the Auditorium, which is not more than 200.

10. During times when the library is closed (e.g. Saturdays during the summer) bookings will be accepted only if arrangements suitable to the Institute can be made.

11. Anyone not complying with the foregoing rules and regulations shall, in addition to other recourses of the Institute, be automatically disqualified from any future use of the Auditorium.

12. The closing hour of the Auditorium shall be 11:00 P.M. unless special arrangements are made otherwise. For afternoon meetings, the hours will be arranged with the office.

Mornings, afternoons or evenings: 3-hour period..... $1 2 0.00

Rehearsal periods (no audience)

During library hours ..................................... $  20 .00
